The last few weeks I have been tackling one room at a time and the amount of rubbish I have come up with is incredible. A lot went to the charity bins, but we actually had to make a trip to the dump to get rid of some stuff. There is a small area under the stairs but the amount of unwanted garbage under there was amazing.
Anyway, since I have started to de-clutter the house my head space about my weight seems a lot better. I seem to have more time to focus on me and I know this sounds weird, but my mind seems less cluttered as well. It's been really good for me, it feels like a new beginning. I still have a few rooms to go and then I am going to tackle the garage - I must be sick cause I am actually looking forward to it.
I work with a lady who is very spiritual and claims that de-cluttering is a direct link to the mind and says it is helpful for stress and other emotions because the order reflects in your soul. Bit of a deep way to look at it but I always feel amazing after I do it so maybe she is right....
