I woke up, sorry, I should rephrase that, I was woken up by drips of what I thought was water landing on my face on Sunday morning. Sadly, when I opened my eyes I came to the disturbing realisation that it wasn't water. The kids had been playing with balloons and that 'water' was dripping out of those balloons - nice. I must remember to thank my husband for that one, he sent them upstairs. The good news was that I had an urge to jump onto the treadmill and that's exactly what I did.
*Workout*
I grabbed my treadmill lucky dip cards and ended up with treadmill workout #1. This particular workout came from PBF (with just a couple of small changes in the last 8 mins). The workout went like this :
Then I also added on a nice, relaxing 10 min cool down..............
....followed by a couple of mins of squats while on the vibration platform.
I felt really, really good when I had finished. The best thing about the interval workout was that the time flew by. After the first 5 mins when the intervals started it was just go, go, go with no time to let my mind wander and keep asking how long to go. Before I knew it, the workout was finished. I know when I am just walking or running, the workout can sometimes drag on, plus I burned a lot more calories than if I had of just been walking. It was great and I am excited to do another one.
*This is me after my workout*
Did I fool you?? No? Didn't think so, this is more like me - red faced and sweaty.
*HRM Stats*
The bottom line is I really enjoyed my workout and I felt really good for the rest of the day. My question to myself is........Why don't you do this every day????? Can't really answer that one, well, I can, but I am trying to be kind to myself. I do know one thing for sure - I am going to change things so it does happen everyday. I just don't want to be woken with kiddie dribble from balloons again - yuk!
Hello Jane!
ReplyDeleteI believe you don't have to do it everyday. Just do it regularly like every other day or even just during the weekends. But if you have the goal of doing it everyday, then good luck and just enjoy every sweat..
